Some Wal-Mart Stores to Stay Open 24 Hours a Day

About 80 of Wal-Mart's 298 Canadian stores will open 24 hours a day from Dec. 1 to Christmas Eve. Last year, 59 of its stores were open 24 hours a day for a week starting on Dec. 18. In deciding which stores would be open for 24 hours during the holiday season, Wal-Mart pored over sales date, market information and local bylaws. The company will make public the store locations on a special website, www.walmart24hours.ca, after Dec. 5.
