You will analyze Wal-Mart POS through historical sales trends and requirements to recommend more efficient assortments/mixes and thus optimize sales and productivity. Identify competitive trends and offer insights on how they can be challenged within Wal-Mart. Always looks for continuous improvement to the Wal-Mart business model.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
·Weekly Retail Link reporting back to Wal-Mart with supporting commentary on KPI's
·Conducts business analyses, focusing on the 4P's, and makes recommendations on sales fundamentals.
·Maintains Wal-Mart planograms.
·Develops expertise on competitive manufacturers, local consumer insights, regional differences and key customers and communicates same.
·Interfaces with the customer on a regular basis with objective fact based data.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
·College diploma or University Degree in a Business related discipline.
·Retail Link experience essential.
·Previous category management or buying experience preferred.
·Retail sales experience and / or broad-based business experience is a plus.
·Good knowledge of the consumer packaged goods industry.
·Strong AC Neilsen systems and data skills.
·Solid Prospace planogram software skills.
·Well-honed Excel skills.
·Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
·Detail oriented and organized.
