KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Demand Planner will have to:
·Work closely with Sales Brand Managers to validate sales requirements.
·Participate in business team meetings to review and arrive at a consensus forecast.
·Use historical sales performance, promotional activities, Team feedback and other building blocks to analyze and develop sales forecasts.
·Generate a monthly demand forecast.
·Identify major forecasting issues for discussion and resolution with business team.
·Timely preparation and distribution of forecast accuracy KPI results with cause effect analysis
·Prepare latest performance and future forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Provide feedback during Team meetings on issues relative to the product forecast influencing the outcome.
·Maintain constant and proactive communication with PPIC which includes notification of meeting outputs and alerts of material forecast changes in a timely manner in order to minimize business risks.
·Continuously improve forecast techniques, method and approach
·Communicate regularly with the Demand Manager to ensure integrity of forecast for input to the financial forecast.
·Actively participate in multifunctional team meetings that discuss consumer issues, customer issues, factory issues, etc.
·Collaborate in determining and driving team strategy
·Become a key member of the team – with specialized logistic skill – but an opinion not limited to logistics issues only
·Develop, maintain, and document standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
·Participate in the Brand Review meetings by presenting the forecast analytics for his/her area(s) of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS
·Strong knowledge of demand planning process within Consumer Goods Industry
·Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
·Demonstrate high analytical capabilities.
·Good communication and team building skills
·Able to work independently; calculate forecast, proactively resolves issues and form meaningful connections with forecast intelligence.
·Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing, operations, finance, manufacturing and supply.
·Appreciation of lead times involved throughout the process and how the links are bound together.
·Product range and understanding of time fences relating to each brand group (e.g. seasonal verses non-seasonal)
·Must be a creative problem solver with proven record in achieving results and have the ability to work under pressure.
·The ability to quickly analyze volatile situations and develop conclusions as well as recommend corrective action.
·Create an agreement on Base Line forecasts using sound statistical modeling methodology.
·Keeps all communication platforms strictly professional, communicates openly and professionally with co-workers.
·University degree in business or logistics or APICS certification preferred
·Three years hands on business experience in Sales, Finance or Logistic with Logistic being an asset.
·Experience using i2 Demand Planner or SAP APO (preferred) or other statistical software packages.
