Description: POSITION SUMMARY
The Key Account Manager is responsible for sales & customer service for National Key Accounts. The Key Account Manager develops sales targets, and implements sales strategies in the assigned regions.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
*The Key Account Manager reports directly to the VP Sales

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
*Internal: President, VP Marketing, Sales Coordinator, Production
*External: Customers, Brokers

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Develops ongoing business communications with existing customers.
*Liaise with national sales force, brokers, office employees, production employees, and customers to ensure communication and the resolution of goals, problems, and issues.
*Coordinate and conduct sales presentations, product knowledge and sales promotions to major customers.
*Negotiate and coordinate sales proposals and contracts with major accounts
*Prepare, organize, coordinate, and communicate a variety of sales information to major accounts.
*Coordinate product requirements with production personnel.
*Works with VP Sales to set sales targets and implement sales strategies.
*Review and analyze monthly sales performance versus sales target, discuss opportunities and strategies with sales team.
*Identify and analyze relevant competitive action and recommend/implement plan of action to counteract.
*Attend buying shows and analyze cost-benefit in terms of sales success.
*Develops the customer base by generating new business with existing customers as well as new accounts
*Manage business expectations as per direction from VP Sales

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
*Must be willing and able to travel and stay out of town as necessary.
*Required to be licensed (Class G), insured, and have a safe driving record.
