Responsibilites:
Information & Understanding
*Provides analysis and facilitates execution of Category Management initiatives with key customers that lead to category growth
·Demonstrates category and thought leadership
·Performs high level, in depth analyses using syndicated and customer data to provide conclusions and recommended actions delivering improvements in the 4Ps
·Proactively brings business issues, opportunities and recommendations to customer and internal business teams
·Develops expertise in customer, consumer and industry insights using Nielsen POS, panel and Spectra data
Merchandising/Category Management
·Makes strategic retail category management recommendations
·Develops and champions semi-annual planograms as well as ad hoc shelf management for the category to maximize sales growth and profit
·Maintains awareness and developments within retail and competitive environment
·Uses strong communication, project, planning and leadership skills to work collaboratively with selling teams
·Facilitates long term promotional planning with key customers
Sales Planning
·Adapts knowledge of customer strategies to company strategy to optimize sales potential
·Creates and delivers creative group / customer presentations to achieve incremental opportunities
Selling
·Seeks, creates and develops new business opportunities to build brand consumption
·Has authority and latitude to effectively negotiate with multi-functional resources both internally and externally
·Develops strategic alliances with key retailers
