Description: DESCRIPTION OF WORK

- Standardized Reporting – data collection, analysis and key action recommendation through weekly, monthly, quarterly and promotional evaluation reports.
- Plan-o-gram Development– Plan-o-gram development, working with Prospace tool to analyze and make recommendations to sales account managers and buyers. Also, working with the retailer to physically set up modulars and ongoing monitoring of shelf productivity.
- Consumer Insights Gap Analysis – Utilize consumer insights data and AC Nielsen to capture industry trends and provide recommendations to improve category sales by identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Pre and post analysis of modular activity, account spend, in store initiatives, flyer impact, and market share.
- Interaction with US counterparts on all brands to leverage best practices and insights.
- Translate Insights into Recommendations – Effectively analyze data/insights, build “stories” and present recommendations in a compelling way.
- Category Management – support the Manager, Strategic Planning with initiatives related to developing the Category Management process.
Requirements: PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Business, Marketing and/or Statistical Analysis (B.A., B.S. or B.COMM)
• 1-2 years experience in Category Management or an Analyst role.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel) and Pro Space required.
• Strong user of Retail Link a definite asset.
• Experience and/or exposure to Cognos and Powerpoint
• Strong ability to derive meaningful recommendations and present them in an unbiased manner.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned projects while balancing daily business needs.
