Description: Role Scope
-Serve as the Assistant Brand Manager in assigned categories.
-Full time, reporting directly to the Brand Manager.
-This is a challenging assignment with a focus on innovation and new product launches, the artwork development process, and an opportunity to be exposed to all elements of the marketing mix.
-Most marketing initiatives are locally developed, allowing for exposure to significant strategic projects.
Deliverables
-Assist in developing and executing the marketing plan for assigned categories in order to achieve short and long term business targets (financial and in-market performance).
-Ability to balance attention to detail with speed-to-market.
-Manage business analysis and reporting.
-Manage marketing spending within assigned budget.
-Participate in the management of the creative development process for the brand.
-Assist in monitoring and analyzing competitive and marketplace activity.
-Part of your role will also be involved with evaluating and communicating in-market results, analysis and recommendations relevant to your category to Senior Management.
Requirements: Required Qualifications

•University Degree in Business is required. An MBA is preferred.
•1 year of related marketing experience in a consumer packaged goods environment.
•Experience independently managing projects involving multiple stakeholders
•Ability to easily toggle between big picture orientation and attention to detail
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Ability to translate key insights into compelling action
•Be an independent self-starter who thrives on challenges
•Excellent written/verbal communication skills
•Team player with strong people skills and a proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
•Demonstrates energetic leadership, using a ‘can-do’ attitude that positively influences and energizes their team
•Previous advertising/media experience an asset
•Packaging development and promotion experience required
•Proficient in MS Office suite software, Work Station Plus, and Cognos.
*Experience with JDE software will be considered an asset.
•Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a car to commute within the GTA.
*Occasional out of town travel may be required.
•Fluency in French will be considered a strong asset.
